Hi, I am a senior in high school and need major help in combining like terms using variable tiles. My math grades are bad and I have decided to do something about it. I am looking for a website that will let me enter a problem and offers detailed step by step solution; basically it must walk me through the entire thing. I really need to improve my grades so please help me out.

I have been in your situation a few years ago when I was learning combining like terms using variable tiles. What part of equivalent fractions and x-intercept poses more difficulties? Because I think that what you really need is a good program to help you figure out the basic concepts and methods of solving the exercises. Did you ever use a software like that? I have tried several of those but I have to say that Algebrator is the best and the easiest to use. It's not like those other programs because it teaches you how to think , it doesn't just give you the solutions.

I would just add a note to what has been posted above. Algebrator no doubt is the most useful tool one could have. Always use it as a guide and a means to learn and never to cheat.

I remember having difficulties with graphing equations, rational equations and fractional exponents. Algebrator is a truly great piece of math software. I have used it through several math classes - College Algebra, Algebra 1 and Algebra 1. I would simply type in the problem and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
