matrices and determinants

Hi fellow students , I heard that there are certain programs that can help with us doing our homework,like a teacher substitute. Is this really true? Is there a software that can aid me with math? I have never tried one before , but they are probably not hard to use I assume. If anyone tried such a software , I would really appreciate some more detail about it. I'm in Basic Math now, so I've been studying things like matrices and determinants and it's not easy at all.

Algebrator is a useful program to solve matrices and determinants problems . It gives you step by step answers along with explanations. I however would warn you not to just paste the solutions from the software. It will not aid you in understanding the subject. Use it as a guide and solve the problems yourself as well.

I remember having problems with adding exponents, angle-angle similarity and converting decimals. Algebrator is a truly great piece of math software. I have used it through several math classes - Pre Algebra, Algebra 1 and Pre Algebra. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
