permutations and combinations formula

I think God must have been in a really bad mood that he came up with something called math to trouble us! I’ve spent days working on this algebra problem which relates to permutations and combinations formula and I still can’t solve it. I’m particularly stuck on graphing lines, multiplying fractions and equivalent fractions. Can anyone show me the way on how to go about finding a solution to such problems? I’ve tried various means that I could think of, but none helped. I need some urgent help now. Anybody?
