solving equation for graph points

I think God would have been in a really bad mood that he came up with something called algebra to trouble us! I’ve spent hours trying to figure out a solution to this algebra problem which relates to solving equation for graph points and I still can’t crack it . I’m particularly stuck on proportions, side-angle-side similarity and algebraic signs. Can anyone throw some light on how to go about solving such problems? I’ve tried various means that I could think of, but none helped. I need some urgent guidance now. Anybody?

Hey pal! Learning solving equation for graph points online can be a nightmare if you are not a professional at it. I wasn’t an expert either and really regretted my decision until I found Algebrator. This little software has been my partner since then. I’m easily able to solve the problems now.
