I am in urgent need of help in completing an assignment in solving -2x+8y=5. I need to finish it by next week and am having a difficult time trying to work out a few tricky problems. I tried some of the online help sites but have not gotten what I want so far. I would be really glad if anyone can assist me.

Algebrator is a nice thing. I have used it a lot. I tried solving the problems myself, at least once before using the software. If I couldn’t solve the question then I used the software to give me the solution. I then used to compare both the solutions and correct my mistakes.

Interesting! I don’t have that much time to hire someone to teach me so I think this would be just fine. Is this something bought from a store ? Do they have a webpage so that I can see more details about the program?

I remember having problems with unlike denominators, percentages and monomials. Algebrator is a really great piece of algebra software. I have used it through several math classes - College Algebra, Algebra 1 and Pre Algebra. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
